Good Afternoon,

I am stuck on this formula. I am assuming its my formula that isn't reading the values but rather the result?

A2 = 7891234567

=IF(AND(LEN(A2)=10,LEFT(A2,1)=7),"True","False")

Any suggestions?

Thanks for looking!

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Try it like this:
=IF(AND(LEN(A2)=10,LEFT(A2,1)="7"),"True","False")

The LEFT function is returning the 7 as text and comparing it to a number 7. Those are not the same. So you can change your 7 in the forumula to text by surrounding it in quotes.
