Hello,

I have a cell that uses data validation with a drop down list. Is there a way through VBA to allow an entry other than what is in the list?

Thank you

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
No need for VBA, in the Dv select the Error Alert tab & uncheck the "Show error alert" box

Thanks that does get rid of the message but there is VBA in place to restrict to the list.

Then remove the code ;)

Not quite sure why you need VBA to do what a DV does anyway.
