Creating a Macro using Drop Down List

Hi all,

I'm new to MrExcel and also new to using Macros in Excel and VBA.

I want to be able to select an option in a drop down list in cell F3 (range from 1 to 9) and depending on what option you select, two dates would appear in cell B3 and D3.

I've heard of using worksheet_change but I have never used VBA so I'm confused as to how I could create a code for this.

Is anyone able to help?

Many thanks

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
That is what I had done initially.

But I want to be able to change data based on periods (cell F3) or dates (cells B3 and D3).

The data in my tables is dependent on dates so right now, when you input dates, the data changes correctly. But I want to create a macro that will allow the user to select the periods from the drop down list which would automatically input the relevant dates.

I hope that makes sense.
