Month from a date

I have a field which is supposed to be a date field containing dates as like 24 June 2018, 19:30.

I have tried many formulas to try and get just the month I.e June into a new cell.
Any ideas?

If it's actually a date formatted that way:
=TEXT(A1,"mmmm")

If it's a text string:
=TEXT(SUBSTITUTE(A1,",",""),"mmmm")
