Hi,
I'm fairly new to access and want to use it to store data which can be select queried from Excel.
But also would like to update the records directly from Excel (only 1 workbook)

So I seen you can create a linked table between a workbook and access, any data changed in the excel table is updated in access.

Though can I still add new records to the access table? Would it update in excel when refreshed?

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Yes, I would suggest that connecting the table via the Data Tab in Excel and use the connections group.

Don't think linked table is the way for this.

As in excel you can't just load certain records from the DB (example today's date only)

You need to have the full table in Excel

ADODB update probably a better way so gonna have to figure it out.

Thanks
