Run a macro from a word in a cell

I want to be able to select a word from a drop down list in one cell, which will then delete the contents of another cell. Is this possible?

If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
