Microsoft Power BI is a business analytics solution that allows you to create and transform data into reports and dashboards in new and much more powerful ways. It is designed to connect to hundreds of data sources and transform raw data into interactive visualizations you can share with individuals, teams, or even everyone in your organization.
This book, written by a member of Microsoft’s Power BI team, provides a practical step-by-step guide to creating financial dashboards and reports. The book covers in detail how to combine and shape the relevant data, build reports in Power BI Desktop, prepare the model to work with fiscal dates, and show calculations used in many financial reports, including year-to-date, percentage-of-total, and running total. It shows how to set up Power BI, create carefully designed dashboards, collaborate with others, and distribute dashboards and reports to others.
