Hi all,

I am currently working with a data set that looks like this:

I would like a formula that takes all the values in column A, and if they begin with a comma (","), it should remove this

So the result should be like this:

Does anybody have a formula for this?

It would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much :)

Kind regards,
Jyggalag

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Try this:
Excel Formula:
=IF(LEFT(A1,1)=",",MID(A1,2,LEN(A1)-1),A1)

How about
Excel Formula:
=IF(LEFT(A1)=",",REPLACE(A1,1,1,""),A1)

Solution
Based on your samples (no commas anywhere except at the start) ..
Excel Formula:
=SUBSTITUTE(A1,",","")

How about
Excel Formula:
=IF(LEFT(A1)=",",REPLACE(A1,1,1,""),A1)
